IBN24 Desk: Raipur (chhattisgarh) Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has taken into serious account a news report highlighting the premature damage to a recently constructed CC road in Nagar Panchayat Dadhi area of Bemetara district. Adopting a firm stance, he cautioned that any kind of compromise or negligence in the quality of development works will not be tolerated.
Chief Minister held a telephonic discussion with Bemetara Collector Ms. Pratishtha Mamgai and gave instructions to conduct a comprehensive and time-bound inquiry into the matter. He instructed that a technical evaluation of the concerned CC road should be conducted to assess its actual condition, alongside a thorough examination of the materials used, construction quality, and the supervisory mechanism involved.
He further directed that if the inquiry reveals any deficiency in quality, violation of prescribed standards, or irregularities of any nature, strict action must be initiated against the contractor and the officials concerned, in accordance with established rules. Additionally, he emphasised that the damaged road should be reconstructed at the earliest to ensure safe and smooth movement for the public.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also called for a special review of other ongoing construction works in the district to prevent recurrence of such incidents. Ensuring quality, transparency, and accountability in construction activities is a fundamental responsibility of the administration, and no compromise at any level will be tolerated, he emphasised.
Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that accountability will be fixed and action will be inevitable against those found negligent in works concerning public interest. He directed that continuous monitoring, field inspections, and an effective quality control mechanism be ensured to enhance the reliability and durability of development works, thereby strengthening public trust.
Chief Minister affirmed that the government’s intent is clear: every public work must reflect the highest standards of quality, transparency, and accountability.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has issued state-wide directives to strengthen monitoring and quality control in construction activities, with the aim of providing citizens with safe, durable, and dependable infrastructure.
