IBN24 Desk: Raipur (chhattisgarh) Demonstrating sensitive, alert and people-centric governance, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai ensured immediate relief to an elderly beneficiary after taking prompt cognizance of a media report. Acting on his directions, the administration in Gariaband district swiftly assisted Shri Bhikhlu Ram Dhruv of village Patharri in Fingeshwar block.
The issue, highlighted in the media, revealed that he had been deprived of pension and ration benefits for a long period. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure immediate delivery of benefits, following which the administration acted on priority.
Collector Shri B.S. Uikey reviewed the matter and directed officials to resolve it without delay. It was found that pending e-KYC had stalled access to benefits. The process was completed promptly, restoring eligibility. As a result, three months’ pending old-age pension was released in one installment, and one quintal of rice was delivered to his residence, with regular ration supply now ensured.
Expressing gratitude, Shri Bhikhlu Ram Dhruv said, “Receiving pension and ration has brought him great relief and strengthened his trust that the government cares. Chief Minister’s sensitivity has affected my life and now feels assured that the government cares about people like him.”
The incident underlines that under Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s leadership, governance goes beyond policy-making to ensuring timely delivery of benefits to every needy person at the grassroots level.
